Types of Motorization

The 1000 Series offers three versatile motorization options, each tailored to different application needs and setup constraints:

  • Direct Drive – Our standard and most straightforward choice, where the motor is mounted directly onto the drive shaft. This setup provides excellent stability, simplified maintenance, and reliable performance.
  • Indirect Drive – Here, the motor is positioned separately from the main roller, with power transmitted via a return/pulley system. It's especially well-suited for tight spaces or highly compact installations where a direct mount isn't practical.
  • Central Drive – The motor is placed in a central position beneath the conveyor, keeping both ends completely free. This design greatly simplifies loading and unloading from either side, making it ideal for bidirectional access or streamlined material flow.

Belt Types

The belt is the core element of a conveyor, responsible for moving products along the line.

To ensure optimal performance, it is essential to carefully evaluate the type of load to be handled, so as to select the most suitable belt for the specific application requirements.

Starting from the standard base belt, additional solutions can be integrated, such as trapezoidal straps, cleats for incline changes, and side containment barriers to prevent products from falling during fast or inclined sections.

Alusic also offers various colors and materials for belt construction, such as PVC, PU, and raw PU, including versions suitable for use in the food industry.

Inclined Belt Conveyors: S830

Inclined Belt Conveyors

To meet transport requirements involving changes in slope or height, Alusic has developed a dedicated version of belt conveyors.

This solution, characterized by a more cost-effective design, offers variable inclination, standard dimensions, and exclusively direct motorization.

The series is available in three standard configurations:

Alusic 831 Series

Alusic 832 Series

Alusic 833 Series

Configurable and with Variable Inclination

The 830 series has been designed to standardize the construction of conveyors with inclination changes, simplifying the management of the typical challenges of this configuration.

To meet different application needs, Alusic offers five belt widths (150, 250, 350, 450, and 550 mm) and four length options (1300, 1500, 1700, and 1900 mm).

The true versatility of the 830 series lies in the ability to freely adjust the inclination from 0° to 60°.

This is made possible by the sturdy adjustable legs in version 831 and by the intermediate joint featured in variants 832 and 833.

Improvements and Optimizations of the Alusic 2010 Series

Among the many enhancements featured in the S2010, the standout improvement is its exceptional ease of assembly. This is achieved through a streamlined design that significantly reduces and optimizes the number of components required.

Additionally, chain movement has been greatly improved by incorporating the BluLub surface. This innovative feature not only boosts overall performance but also minimizes chain wear, delivering higher efficiency along with exceptional long-term durability.

Curve Types

The 2010 Series supports the use of three distinct curve types, each engineered to suit different layout and operational needs:

  • Standard: Basic curves rolled at 90°, perfect for straightforward linear sections or simple module setups.
  • Idler: Fitted with a circular guide that smoothly follows and supports chain travel, effectively cutting down on friction and chain wear.
  • Motorized: Specialized curves designed primarily for closed-loop systems, featuring a built-in motor in the lower section that takes over from the primary drive, eliminating the need for a separate main unit.

Modular Chain Conveyors : S3000

Modular Chain Conveyors

The modular chain is a cornerstone of the 3000 Series, thanks to its highly versatile design and exceptional adaptability to virtually any production line layout.

Chain width and length can be freely selected and customized, giving you complete freedom to create conveyors perfectly tailored to your specific needs. This makes the 3000 Series truly flexible and fully modular.

Manufactured from premium high-sliding materials, the chain delivers smooth, reliable movement—even at high speeds—ensuring maximum transport efficiency and consistent performance.

Thanks to its modular construction, individual chain links can be quickly inspected, maintained, or replaced without major disassembly. This significantly reduces downtime and helps keep operating and maintenance costs low.

With outstanding resistance to chemicals and corrosion, the chain is especially well-suited for the food industry, where strict hygiene standards, long-term durability, and dependable performance are critical.

Modular Chain Conveyor Components

S3010: components and specs

The components of the S3010 Series allow the construction of modular chain conveyors characterized by robustness, reliability, and adaptability, ideal for high-speed applications and curved paths.

The supporting structure consists of a modular beam in anodized aluminum, which makes it possible to achieve customizable and virtually unlimited lengths while ensuring both lightness and mechanical strength.

Standard curves are made using the same rolled profile, available with 90° and 180° radii, to ensure structural continuity and aesthetic uniformity throughout the entire conveying system.

S3020: components and specs

The components of the S3020 series represent a lighter and more compact solution for modular chain conveyor belts, designed to optimize space and minimize bulk within plants. While maintaining a lower load capacity compared to the S3010 series, the S3020 ensures high efficiency and continuous operation thanks to the reduced diameter of the head rollers, which eliminates the need for a return shaft and allows direct integration within machines or compact lines. The modular configuration enables the creation of both linear and curved solutions, offering wide design flexibility and adaptability to different production requirements.

S3030: components and specs

The S3030 series introduces components dedicated to the transport of heavy loads, using a reinforced chain based on the same architecture as the S3010.

It shares the same modular frame, but without the use of curves, to ensure maximum structural stability even in the most demanding applications.

Within the 3000 range, the S3030 stands out as the most robust, fastest solution with the highest load capacity, ideal for high-performance lines and continuous transport of heavy materials.

S3040: components and specs

The S3040 series introduces a special variant of the modular chain conveyor belt, specifically designed for the return shaft between the S3010 and S3030 conveyors.

This compact module can be installed directly on the head of another modular conveyor, from which it also receives the drive power, allowing continuous and precise product transfer between two lines.

Types of Motorization

On the 3000 series, two different types of motorization can be installed, each designed for specific applications and requirements:

Direct motorization – standard solution, with the motor mounted directly on the drive shaft. It ensures greater stability and easy maintenance.

Central motorization – the central position of the motor frees the ends of the conveyor, making loading and unloading operations easier from both sides of the line.

Accessories and Kits for Belt Conveyors

Side Guides

Side guides channel the product flow along the path and prevent accidental falls. They are made of aluminum profile with a polyamide cover, while the ends can be finished with a simple cap or with a shaped lead-in, useful for centering and guiding the product flow.

Support Legs

These provide structural support for the conveyor and are available in single-column versions (for narrower conveyors) or double-column versions. They can be floor-mounted and connected with crossbars to ensure greater stability. The fixing bracket between the leg and the conveyor is designed to prevent dust and dirt accumulation, making the system suitable even for environments with high hygiene requirements, such as the food industry.

Protective Covers

Designed by Alusic for safety and cleanliness, covers protect sensitive or potentially hazardous parts of the conveyor, such as rotation pins and fixing flanges. In addition to improving aesthetics, they reduce wear and protect operators from risks, ensuring a safer and more durable system.
